Who we are
Budgeteer is a personal budgeting dashboard at budgeteer.pro. Access is limited to approved accounts. This policy explains what data the service processes and why.
Data we collect
Depending on how you use Budgeteer, we may process:
- Account data from Google sign-in, including your email address and any name or profile image Google provides.
- Budget data you enter or import, such as transaction descriptions, amounts, currencies, categories, dates, and account labels.
- Bank connection data when you connect a bank through Enable Banking, including the bank you choose, account identifiers and names, and transactions imported via account information (AIS) access. Budgeteer does not initiate payments.
- Technical data needed to run the app, including session cookies and aggregated usage and performance metrics from Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.
How we use data
We use this data only to operate Budgeteer: to authenticate you, keep you signed in, display your budget, and import or refresh bank transactions you have authorized.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Sharing
Data is shared with service providers only as needed to run the app:
- Google, for sign-in.
- Enable Banking, for bank account information access you start.
- Neon, for storing application data.
- Vercel, for hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring.
We may also disclose information if required by law. Bank data is processed according to Enable Banking's terms and the consent you give at your bank.
Cookies
Budgeteer uses an HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. A short-lived cookie is also used to protect the bank-connection redirect. These cookies are required for the service to work.
Retention
We keep account, budget, and bank-connection data while your access remains active. You can ask us to delete your data. Bank sessions expire when the consent period granted through Enable Banking ends.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. If you signed in with Google, you can also revoke Budgeteer's access from your Google account settings.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Sign-in is limited to approved Google accounts. Secrets and bank credentials are stored server-side, not in the browser.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Budgeteer after an update means you accept the revised policy.
